Wild Water Park
Garden City
We’ve tried a number of the water parks and like this one the best for all around fun. Rates vary depending on when you go so its good to do a little planning. Check the local papers for family discount coupons.

Imax Theater
Broadway at the Beach
The same screen as seen at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washigton DC. Features a six story screen with mega watts of surround sound. Features are short and they usually offer a choice of three different viewings. Priced about the same as regular movies.

Pavilion Amusement Park
Myrtle Beach
Largest park around. Plenty of rides for the little kids. Don’t fight the parking - pay the money and park in the five store parking structure on the north side of the park.

Paradise Skating Rink
Rt 544 & ByPass 17
Newly opened in 1996 this family oriented rink offers a great alternative to those rainy days. Weekly specials are offered, best to call for details.

Ripleys Aquarium
Broadway at the Beach
Opened in 1997 this facility is terrific. Took the kids one day and spent over three hours going from exhibit to exhibit. Slow moving walkway around dangerous reef (underwater view) lets you see everything without having to fight the crowds. Kids allowed to pet the skates in a shallow pond. Take your camera but beware of flash limitiations. Guard your wallet since the design of the operation forces you to go thru the gift shop on the way out.
